Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. Her name has been widely praised for her pioneering work in studying witnesses from children as well as memories of eyewitnesses in the legal setting. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer, has won numerous awards and grants. She has advised a variety of government bodies and administrations throughout the world regarding policies as well as research related to the care of children who are victims through the justice system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. Professor Goodman is a member in a variety of professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is an active part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the chief of the American Psychological Society's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
